Yenta partner terms

DRAFT — pending legal review. This document has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet in force. It is published so that partners and directory reviewers can read the terms Yenta intends to operate under. It is not legal advice, and nothing in it should be relied on as a final agreement.

Version: 2026-08-16-draft. Effective date: not yet in force (pending legal review). Contact: support@yentaknows.ai.

These terms are between Yenta and the business that creates an organization in Yenta's partner control plane — the partner. They do not apply to people who read a venue's information through an AI assistant; the connector is anonymous and has no accounts at all (see the privacy policy).

1. What Yenta does

Yenta publishes a venue's own approved information to AI assistants over the Model Context Protocol and a public REST API. Yenta does not scrape venues, does not infer information a venue has not stated, and does not generate content. Everything a Yenta endpoint serves is a revision that someone with an owner or admin role at the partner explicitly approved.

Yenta is read-only in this version. No published endpoint can take a booking, place an order, or send a message to a venue.

2. Who may create an organization

An organization is created by an authenticated person through Yenta's identity provider, using a verified work email address. By creating an organization, or by adding a venue to one, you represent that:

Slugs are allocated first-come, and a slug becomes a public hostname (https://{slug}.venues.yentaknows.ai). Yenta may reclaim or rename a slug that was taken in breach of the representations above.

Roles inside an organization are yours to manage. An owner or admin may approve content and so decide what becomes public; every other member may prepare content but not publish it.

3. Your content, and the licence you grant Yenta

"Partner content" means everything you submit to Yenta: venue profiles, menus, prices, dietary tags, allergen declarations, FAQs, and anything else you upload or type into the control plane.

Partner content stays yours. Yenta claims no ownership of it.

For as long as a revision of your content is approved and published, you grant Yenta a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, cache, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and republish that content — including republishing it to AI assistants, agents and other automated clients through Yenta's MCP endpoints, its public REST API, and its directory. The licence covers the technical reformatting republication requires: extracting fields from an uploaded file, splitting a menu into items, and returning fragments of it in a tool response.

The licence is limited to operating and promoting the Yenta service. Yenta does not sell partner content, does not license it onward as a dataset, and does not use it to train models.

You may also grant Yenta the right to use your name and logo to identify you as a partner; tell us if you would rather we did not.

What you promise about it

You warrant that you own the partner content or have the rights necessary to grant the licence above, that publishing it infringes nobody's intellectual property, and that it is lawful to publish where you operate. Menus, prices, opening hours, dietary tags and allergen declarations are statements you are making to the public, and you are responsible for their accuracy — including allergen information, where an error can cause harm.

You must not submit content that is false or misleading, that describes a business you do not represent, that contains a third party's personal information without a lawful basis, or that is unlawful.

4. Publication is yours to control

A revision becomes public only when an owner or admin approves it. Yenta serves whatever the venue's current approved revision points at and nothing else, so an unapproved draft is not readable anywhere.

Unpublishing a venue takes its endpoints offline on the very next request — there is no cache to expire and no stale copy to wait out. That is the fastest removal mechanism Yenta has, and it is in your hands, not ours.

Approving a new revision supersedes the old one for the public. Yenta keeps superseded revisions as the record of what was published when; that record is part of publishing on a venue's behalf, and is why an audit trail can answer who approved what.

5. What Yenta does not promise

Yenta republishes what you submit. Yenta does not verify partner content, and makes no representation that it is accurate, current or complete. Neither does Yenta control what an AI assistant does with a response: assistants paraphrase, summarise and sometimes get things wrong, and Yenta has no ability to constrain a third-party model's output.

Yenta's dietary and allergen filters operate only on what a venue has declared. Excluding an item that declares an allergen is not a promise that the remaining items are free of it, and Yenta's tool descriptions say so.

The service is provided "as is". Yenta does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and gives no warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent the law allows, Yenta is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or goodwill, or for any loss arising from partner content — yours or another partner's — or from a third party's use of it. [Legal review: a liability cap and a governing-law clause belong here.]

You will indemnify Yenta against claims arising from your partner content or from a breach of the warranties in section 3. [Legal review: scope and carve-outs.]

6. Suspension and termination

You may stop at any time: unpublish your venues, and ask us to close your organization.

Yenta may suspend or remove a venue, or an entire organization, if the content appears to impersonate a business, is unlawful, or is the subject of a credible rights complaint, or if the service is being abused. Where it is practical and lawful to do so, we will tell you first; where a delay would leave something harmful published, we will act first and tell you immediately after.

On termination:

7. Fees

There are none in this version of the product. Yenta does not bill partners and holds no payment details. If that changes, it changes by notice under section 8, and not retroactively.

8. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material and you do not accept it, your remedy is to unpublish your venues and close your organization.
